The Whole Plant and Nothing But the Plant: A Journey With Rosin

The Whole Plant and Nothing But the Plant: A Journey With Rosin

The Whole Plant and Nothing But the Plant
When is the whole greater than the sum of its parts? When you’re talking about cannabis! Just like a tube of orange juice concentrate isn’t as nutritious or delicious as a glass of fresh-squeezed oj, not all cannabis extracts are created equal.

Rosin Enters The Chat
Rosin harnesses the power of heat and pressure to make pure cannabis oil. The hemp flower is simply compressed between heated pads until the oil flows freely. The result is a “full-spectrum” oil that preserves the cannabinoid and terpene profile of the original plant.
The oil can be made into edibles or capsules without needing a solvent to extract the CBD. Many CBD products, especially gummies, use ethanol or butane for extraction. Most of the residual solvents are removed from the product, but they can leave behind a funky taste — and leave out many of the health benefits.
Entourage, Baby
You’ve probably heard of CBD, but did you know that hemp plants produce more than one hundred additional cannabinoids? These naturally-occurring chemical compounds include CBD as well as smaller amounts of cannabinoids like CBG and CBC.
When several different cannabinoids and terpenes are combined, our bodies can experience an “entourage effect” of health benefits that are greater than CBD alone. Yet so many hemp products only contain CBD. That left me wondering — how can we experience these health benefits with a solventless edible that actually tastes good?

Sleep Me, Seymour
Ah, sleep. We crave it. We need it. Why is it just out of reach? I have chronic insomnia and have tried pretty much everything. Therapy and sleep hygiene helped a lot, but I didn’t find reliable relief until I added cannabis.
The edible I tried at the beginning of my cannabis journey didn’t work for me at all. Looking back, I’m not surprised. The CBD in the gummy was extracted with ethanol. In addition to the gross alcohol aftertaste, I was missing out on many of the other cannabinoids and terpenes that make full-spectrum cannabis effective medicine.
I eventually found sleep tinctures that worked for me, so I didn’t try another edible for sleep — until I checked out Deep Sleep CBD Delights. They are made by Rose Delights with no isolates or additives. Applying heat and pressure directly to the cannabis plant preserves cannabinoids like CBD, CBN, CBL, CBDA, CBG, CBC, and more. Finally, an edible made with rosin!
Rosin Sounds Great – But Does it Work?
I’ll be totally honest about my personal experience with rosin — I can taste and feel the difference. The first thing I notice is that these rosin edibles taste fantastic. Mulberry, vanilla, and passionflower add a subtle sweetness that compliments the cannabis instead of masking it. No nasty alcohol flavor here. These culinary treats are made with organic mullberries grown at the legendary Frog Hollow Farm in California. Tastes good to me - check!
Now that my sweet tooth is satisfied, I ease into my evening routine. I feel sleepy and relaxed, like my eyelids are extra heavy. I get into bed and wonder if I’ll sleep through the night for the first time in months. As I ponder that question, I drift off to sleep and suddenly it’s 7 a.m. I feel well-rested, energized, and ready to start the day. There are still nights when sleep is more difficult for me, but knowing that I have a cannabis routine to supplement my other sleep efforts helps me relax throughout the night. Feels good to me - check!
What About Rosin During the Day?
Maybe you want to incorporate rosin into your wellness routine, but don’t like edibles. Or maybe you want to enjoy the health benefits of rosin during the day. Or, if you’re like me, you brush your teeth and realize you forgot to take a daytime tincture. Never fear – CBD capsules are here!
I’ve been taking Rose CBD Capsules daily for a few weeks and I’ve noticed significant changes. I feel more level-headed and calmer in stressful situations. It’s easier to use the tools I’ve learned in therapy like getting outside for exercise and cooking nutritious meals. I have an easier time troubleshooting problems in the moment instead of getting caught up in an anxiety loop. In general, I feel less frazzled and more upbeat throughout the day.
The biggest change I experienced was with appetite. I sometimes struggle to regulate my eating patterns, but the rosin capsules helped me to listen to my hunger cues. I actually made nutritious lunches instead of forgetting to eat all day until I only wanted pizza. (No shade on pizza! I love it so much, but apparently other foods exist, too.) I’ve tried CBD-only products to address appetite, but this was the first one that really helped me. I didn’t even get that ravenous munchies feeling like I sometimes do with cannabis flower. I’m honestly amazed that full-spectrum rosin made such a difference in helping me feel balanced.
Can Rosin Help Me?
Now I’ll share a gentle reminder – every body interacts with cannabis differently. What works for me may not work for you and vice versa. I am not a doctor, just a cannabis professional who reads the research and values anecdotal evidence from a wide range of people. I don’t make blanket statements about how someone will be affected by cannabis, but I do offer this suggestion to everyone — start with a low dose (half of a 10 mg sleep edible might be all you need) and gradually increase over several days if you’d like more.
How Do I Try Rosin?
If you’re curious about using full-spectrum cannabis to support your wellness goals, rosin lollipops are a tasty and affordable way to explore. If you’ve tried CBD-only edibles and didn’t have the experience you were seeking, the entourage effect from many different cannabinoids might be what you’re missing.
Cannabis is a journey. Rosin helps us take the scenic route.
